FORT LAUDERDALE — Instead of running from process servers, University of Miami legend Warren Sapp has started fighting back in the lawsuit brought against him by a C-list Tinseltown actress who claims he knocked her down in a drunken incident three years ago.

According to court records in Broward County, where wild man Sapp lives, the big defensive tackle has been running from folks who tried to serve him with the complaint.

But a week after he finally was nailed during an elaborate undercover operation at an autograph-signing event, Sapp responded to the allegations made by actress Paula Trickey, who starred in staples like Attack Of The 50-Foot Cheerleader and Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2.

And Sapp responded with serious blows to the woman’s case.

According to a recent filing, less than two hours after she left ESPN Super Bowl party where the incident allegedly took place in Phoenix, Ariz., in January 2015, accuser Trickey was arrested by local cops and charged with DUI, with her blood alcohol levels allegedly more than twice the legal limit in Arizona.

And if that were bad enough, Sapp has filed an affidavit saying he wasn’t even at the party in question that night. At the time of the ESPN party, he was at the traditional NFL Association party to watch Pitbull perform.

Sapp, who won the Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in January 2003, has filed to have the judge deem the complaint as a “sham” and wants Trickey punished for filing it.

Neither his nor Trickey’s lawyers replied to requests for comment.
