It’s 33109, the zip code for Fisher Island.
According to Bloomberg, an analysis of IRS statistics shows Fisher Island, the 216-acre island accessible by ferry from the MacArthur Causeway, boasts an average income of $2.5 million, according to tax returns for 2015, the latest available.
That’s more than $1 million higher than the second highest zip code in the country, Atherton in Silicon Valley, and $1.25 million more than Palm Beach, which clocks in at No. 3.
At No. 15 Naples, with $695,000 in average income, is the third and last Florida city in the top 20.
Bloomberg partly credits the lack of income tax for the rankings of Florida cities of three Florida cities in the elite list.
The IRS data shows Fisher Island, which has a population of 594 households cooped up mostly in smallish condos, is the only zip code where more than half of all tax returns showed over $200,000 in 2015.
Just as amazing about Fisher Island are the tax write-offs.
High income means high deductions, and the island shows an average amount for itemized deductions at $448,100.
Fisher Island residents include mostly business tycoons, trust-funders, celebrities and athletes.
Supermodel Karolina Kurkova bought a 2,800-square-foot condo on the island in 2012 for $1.4 million while tennis champ Caroline Wozniackibought one in 2014 for $1.7 million, an 1,800-square-foot pad she now rents out for $14,900 a month.
