KEY LARGO – TV personality Kathie Lee Gifford, co-host of the 4th hour of the long-running Today show, has listed her ocean-side home in Key Largo for a whopping $10.5 million.
The home came to Kathie Lee as part of the $10 million estate of her husband, former New York Giants halfback Frank Gifford, who passed away in 2015 at 84 years old.
Kathie Lee, very much Frank’s junior at a present age of 64, has apparently concluded that she no longer needs the residence, though she has clearly enjoyed it in the past. She partook of a well-publicized trip there with “Today” co-host Hoda Kotb in 2013 and also tweeted a breathtaking sunset photo from the residence in 2014.
The Key Largo home clocks in at 11,400 square feet and boasts an impressive eight bedrooms and eight bathrooms. More impressive still are the magnificent views of both Card Sound and the Atlantic Ocean.
Waterside views are the order of the day for the grand residence, built in 1998. The main floor features a master suite with a marvelous view of the bay. Rounding out the impressive space are both formal and informal eating areas and a custom kitchen to personalize the culinary experience.
Of course, the property has a great many other amenities as well, including a fire pit, pool, spa and even a baby grand piano. (This last may be more of a bug than feature, as it could inspire Gifford to serenade hapless guests with her faith-based catalogue of songs.)
The property also lays claim to an outdoor terrace, a private deck and a personal gym. Included in the sale price are golf carts and watercrafts resident in the home’s five-car garage.
Gifford, of course, is still perhaps best known for her 15-year-stint with co-host Regis Philbin on Live! With Regis and Kathie Lee.
Regis also hosted the popular game show Who Wants to be a Millionaire? A winning contestant would have to prevail ten times over in order to purchase Kathie Lee’s lavish Florida residence!
