PINECREST — Former Miami Heat center Lamar Odom finally sold his Pinecrest mansion recently, but it doesn’t appear he made any money in the $2.6 million-plus transaction.
And the buyer, a corporation tied to local developer Scott Greenwald, already listed the property at 9401 SW 63rd Court for sale for $3.6 million.
Nice payday if Greenwald can get it!
“Lamar listed it for $4.5 million last year then lowered it to $3.6 million,” Greenwald said. “He was getting a lot of interest, but he wanted out of the obligation.
“He wanted to close within a week. Because of his hurry to sell, he sold it for a less.”
Greenwald said he also had to bring Odom’s $2.4 million-mortgage current as part of the transaction after the back-to-back world champion with the Los Angeles Lakers fell behind on his payments.
A former member of Kardashian Klan as reality TV star Khloe Kardashian’s husband from 2009 until 2016, Odom, 38, retired from basketball in 2014.
A few months later, he was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel after allegedly going on a booze and drug bender.
It took him months to recover and now is said to be writing a tell-all book about his marriage to Khloe and life among the Kardashians and Jenners.
The Pinecrest house, meanwhile, is located in an older area of the Village where mansions are on large plots. Odom’s old crib is on 1.2 acres.
“It’s a beautiful house for a family,” he said, “with a great layout and backyard. It needs some minor upgrades but similar newer places nearby are going for $5 to $7 million.”
According to county property records, Odom bought the property after he was signed by the Heat in 2003 for $3 million cash.
Odom couldn’t be reached for comment.
