MIAMI BEACH — Social media star YesJulz, also known as “Snapchat Queen,” left little to the imagination as she frolicked in Miami Beach yesterday.
YesJulz, 27, whose real name is Julieanna Goddard, was in town for Art Basel.
She made headlines in 2016 after being involved in a bizarre extortion scandal in which two Broward County residents, fitness model and reality star Hencha Voigt and Wesley Victor, were arrested by Miami Beach Police for allegedly demanding $18,000 from Goddard in exchange for not releasing nude pictures she had on a phone they stole.
After the arrest, a sex tape starring the one and only YesJulz leaked online, only adding to her notoriety, a la Kim Kardashian.
The case is ongoing, though Goddard has stated that she is “not stopping until these two end up in jail.”
“Law should be if u commit a crime with your cell phone, you lose your right 2privacy on that device. Authorities should have right to search,” she wrote in an online message.
Yesterday, the Amber Rose-look alike showed off her curves in a pink thong bikini and violet sunglasses, while she skipped along the beach with a pal. The social media star was later seen chowing down on a burger.
Given her history, which seems to mirror that of other reality stars, Goddard also has her share of critics. Last summer, she got into a Twitter feud with Joe Budden, a Jersey rapper turned Love & Hip Hop star, and his girlfriend Cyn Santana over a photo she posted wearing a T-shirt with the n-word on it, as well as other online drama.
In one Tweet, Budden name-dropped Goddard, “Julz I know you from Tampa before the fat transfer, u might want to relax soon. U doing it for Twitter but my girl really gon smack the shit out u…enjoy your day.”
But as is usual in the post-Kardashian world, the three eventually moved onto more pressing matters.
YesJulz, who has more than 513,000 Instagram followers, got her start in club promotion, hosting events at South Beach clubs like LIV and Story. She currently travels the world working as a Snapchat influencer for brands such as Beats by Dre and Red Bull. She is also the founder of a creative agency, which works with Vevo and Puma, among others.
