MIAMI — The guy in charge of security for Justin Bieber was arrested Thursday morning on a DUI charge after he allegedly drove into a patrol car, injured two officers and then left the scene.
Justin Bieber’s hit song Sorry probably won’t cut it this time, though he’s sung it enough for his embattled bodyguards!
Earlier today, Michael Arana, 32, was charged with DUI and leaving the scene of a crash with injuries according to a news release by Miami-Dade police spokeswoman Alvaro Zabaleta.
Arana is alleged to have rear-ended and badly damaged a patrol car with two police officers, a field officer in the passenger seat and a rookie officer in the driver’s seat.
Arana is then said to have driven his Tahoe over the median, and then drove the wrong way down the other side of the street.
Both officers were sent to the hospital, one had to be airlifted. They’ve both since been released from the hospital. One had a concussion, the other back and head pain.
According to the news release, Arana refused to take a sobriety test.
Arana’s a long-time Bieber boy. Arana was with the singer when he was arrested for DUI in Miami Beach in early 2014.
He was also with the singer when he was released from jail after his arrest.
Bieber didn’t serve any jail time. He pleaded guilty to a lesser charge and gave a $50,000 donation to charity.
Let’ see what happens to Arana.
