WEST PALM BEACH — For the third year in a row, Diner En Blanc brought a taste of the Parisian dining sensation to the Palm Beaches!

The pop-up outdoor dinner, where white-clad guests bring their own linen, crystal, flatware and fancy supper to a super-secret location, started in France and it’s caught on like wildfire.

This year’s venue was the Riviera Beach City Marina, and it was taken over by some 600 well-heeled diners Saturday night.

With their tables, chairs and dinner gear, the guests were picked up in locations all over Palm Beach County by buses without knowing where they were going.

“This event takes place all over the world,” said publicist Lynn Aronberg. “It’s become any city’s most culturally divorce society function.”

Guests are asked to wear white and bring a date.

Saxophonist Reginald Ellison performed while guests set up their tables and at 6 p.m., guests waved their white linen serviette to signal the beginning of their dinner.

Then, bon appetit!

At 8 p.m., guests lit sparklers to mark the opening of the dance floor.

And at 9:50, a trumpet blew to announce the end of the evening. Then, as seamlessly as they arrived, guests packed up all of their belongings and left.

Diner En Blanc is unlike anything else in West Palm Beach, and we can’t wait to see where it pops up next year.

Until then, check out Jake Mazzone‘s photos below.
