FORT LAUDERDALE — It’s been a rocky year of will-they-won’t-they, but NBA legend Scottie Pippen has finally decided to dismiss his divorce petition against his wife of 20 years.
In a quick hearing in downtown Fort Lauderdale, lawyers for Scottie and his wife, Real Housewives of Miami star Larsa Pippen, told Broward family court Judge Dale Cohen that the pair didn’t want to split after all, according to court records.
The Pippens, who’d been living in a canal home in Fort Lauderdale‘s Rio Vista neighborhood for a decade, were married in Chicago in 1997. They have four children together.
And those kids have been put through the wringer this year!
According to records, Pippen filed for divorce last year when he believed Larsa was cheating on him with rapper Future. The alleged trysts occurred when she was visiting her BFF Kourtney Kardashian in Los Angeles.
Turns out Scottie, who’s best known as being Michael Jordan’s lieutenant during a six-championship run with the Chicago Bulls, wasn’t just a paranoid husband.
Mask Off rapper Future wrote a song about the hookup, and then taunted Scottie on Instagram with flirtatious notes to Larsa.
At a June court hearing, lawyers for both sides said the Pippens had moved to Los Angeles to try to work things out.
