MIAMI BEACH — Eminem tore Donald Trump a new one at the BET Hip Hop Awards that were broadcast from Miami Beach last night.
The Detroit rapper branded the president a racist in his freestyle takedown of Trump, singing, “Racism’s the only thing he’s Fantastic Four / Cause that’s how he gets his f*cking rocks off and he’s orange.”
The best-selling hip hop artist of all time, who has never been shy about courting controversy, went on to rap, “We better give Obama props / ‘Cause what we got in office now’s a kamikaze / That’ll probably cause a nuclear holocaust.”
The 44-year-old rap veteran is expected to drop a new album soon, his first since 2013’s The Marshall Mathers LP 2.
Eminem also warned his fans to steer clear of Trump, singing, “Any fan of mine who’s a supporter of his, I’m drawing in the sand a line, you’re either for or against, and if you can’t decide who you like more and you’re split on who you should stand beside, I’ll do it for it for you with this. F*ck you.”
His performance also paid tribute to former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who has been denounced by the president for kneeling during the national anthem in protest of police brutality, noting that Trump “gets an enormous reaction when he attacks the NFL / So we focus on that instead of talking Puerto Rico or gun control for Nevada / All these horrible tragedies and he’s bored and would rather cause a Twitter storm with the Packers.”
He also noted that “if you’re a black athlete you’re a spoiled little brat for trying to use your platform or stature to try to give those a voice who don’t have one.”
Trump has yet to have a Twitter meltdown over Eminem’s performance, but hey, it’s still early in the day, so stay tuned.
