MIAMI — Today really blows for the Miami Dolphins, but they have managed to knock the NFL national anthem controversy off the front of the sports page with the resignation of coach Chris Foerster.
Last night, a video surfaced of offensive line coach Chris Foerster snorting three lines of what appears to be cocaine off a table.
He resigned and the Miami Dolphins issued the following statement:
“We were made aware of the video late last night and have no tolerance for this behavior. After speaking with Chris this morning, he accepted full responsibility and we accepted his resignation effective immediately. Although Chris is no longer with the organization, we will work with him to get the help he needs during this time.”
The video, which has since gone viral, was reportedly posted by Las Vegas dancer Kijuana Nige. The content is bizarre for more than just the alleged behavior of a sports team coach; it also contains a conversation that has left many scratching their heads.
“Hey babe, miss you, thinking about you. How about me going to a meeting and doing this before I go?” Foerster can be heard saying. After two lines, he adds, “It’s gonna be a while before we can do this again. Because I know you’re gonna keep that baby. But I think about you when I do it. I think about how much I miss you. How high we got together.”
This is Foerster’s second season as offensive line coach with the Dolphins. In February, he added run game coordinator to his list of duties, He has previously worked with the San Francisco 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens. In college, he was a center at Colorado State.
This morning on social media, Nige explained in a strange rant why she posted the video.
“The white people mad at me like I forced blow down this man’s nose and like I recorded it on tha low. No those are his habits and he recorded himself and sent it to me professing his love. So quick to make excuses for him but will roast a minority player over an anthem, dog fights, weed, domestic issues etc. But y’all keep saying ALL LIVES MATTER STFU !!”
The upload seems to coincide with the Dolphin’s decision to force its players to stand during the anthem. Though one has to wonder, what’s more offensive, kneeling during the anthem or bending over a table with a $20 bill up your nose.
