GROVE ISLE — Ingrid Casares, the former Miami Beach nightlife promoter who used to be attached at the hip to Madonna, just bought a pricey gem of an apartment on the tiny island of Grove Isle.
The ninth-floor, two-bedroom pad is across the bridge from Coconut Grove, just south of the Rickenbacker. Casares, 53, paid $840,000 back in July, and she couldn’t be happier.
“I love Grove Isle because it’s a real island where I feel like I’m on vacation,” Casares said “It’s also very private. The condo is worth much more than what I paid for it. It’s a real jewel.”
“It’s got the amenities of a first class resort,” Casares said. “And I’ll end up making money.”
She would know!
Just as Casares made her living with her pulse on the nightlife scene, she seems to have a sixth sense about real estate.
Last year she made an 85 percent profit when she sold her Gables on the Green condo to tennis legend Mary Jo Fernandez for $970,000.
Casares is best known for being the co-owner of Miami Beach’s Club Liquid, and for being the boyish Audrey Hepburn pixie stapled to Madonna’s side, back when the Material girl lived in Miami.
The wild party days for Casares are over. These days she’s the promoter at Gulfstream Park.
She’s sharing her new 1,800-square-foot home — which has a hefty $1,500-a-month HOA fee, with her 17-year-old son, Nico.
