MIAMI BEACH — Modern Family actress Sofia Vergara has quietly been trying to sell a tiny Miami Beach condo she bought before her breakthrough role on the ABC hit series.
And a sales contract was just signed for the 468-square-foot studio apartment, real estate websites show.
The property at 300 74th St. had been for sale since March for $150,000.
Records show Vergara lived in the condo since the mid-1990s before buying it for $165,000 in 2007.
Do the current buyers, who have yet to be identified, realize they’re buying from the Colombian star?
Well, despite obvious public records, even Vergara’s real estate agent won’t admit the actress is the owner of unit #15 at The Lofts at Harding.
“There’s indeed someone named (Vergara) on public records,” said Realtor Roxanne Betancourt, “but I can’t talk about anything when it comes to this property.”
According to records, the sultry actress moved to the studio apartment when she first arrived in South Florida as a little-known model and, eventually, host of the Telemundo travel show Fuera de Serie.
Vergara, by the way, stars in the premiere of Season 9 of Modern Family, scheduled to air Wednesday on ABC affiliates.
