PALM BEACH — South Florida’s in the middle of a very busy hurricane season, but a new $46 million listing shows the Palm Beach real estate market doesn’t seem to mind.
The oceanfront estate of the late prominent attorney Robert Montgomery and his philanthropist wife Mary Montgomery has just hit the market with an astounding $46 million price tag.
Global warming, be damned!
The 24,000-square-foot. 22-room mansion has 7 bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, a six-car garage with 300 feet of ocean frontage and another 300 feet on the Intracoastal.
That’s in addition to the the staff quarters, the guest house, swimming pool and lap pools, and ponds and elaborate gardens all tastefully put together on a 1923 Mizner designed property.
With a price tag like that, 1800 South Ocean Blvd. is obviously one of the most expensive properties on the Palm Beach real estate market, but it’s not the most expensive.
There’s a 60,000-square-foot pad on the market for $115 million and a 15-acre estate for sale in Manalapan for $165 million.
