WESTON — New inducted NFL hall of famer Jason Taylor is finally rid of his former marital home in Weston, according to records, and he’s taken a freezing-cold bath in the process.
The Miami Dolphins legend and former Dancing With The Stars contender just sold the house where he and ex-wife Katina Taylor built their family before their marriage collapsed.
Property records show Taylor unloaded the seven-bedroom, nine-bathroom house August 15 for $3.2 million to oil company owner Alloudin Bhullar.
And the latter seemingly got a helluva good deal. A little more than a year ago, the same 10,000-square-foot mansion at 2980 Paddock Road in the Windmill Ranch section was on the market for $4.15 million.
Taylor bought the house in 2006 for $3.6 million, records show.
According to real estate websites, the oilman gets a two-story Mediterranean-style crib with a grand foyer entrance, a wine cellar, billiard room, theater, walk-in humidor and an infinity pool.
And if you believe court records, the lanky former defensive end gets a giant check he sure could use.
Earlier this summer, Taylor’s ex-wife filed a lawsuit in a Broward County family court showing they were secretly divorced in Key West in early 2015 and the settlement called for Taylor to give Katina, the sister of former Fins linebacker Zach Thomas, a check for $8.67 million.
Katina, the mother of three children, claims in her Broward lawsuit Taylor was $3.4 million short and isn’t responding to her attempts to collect.
With the sale of the Weston house, Taylor’s almost there.
He and Katina currently live in separate homes in The Enclave, another swanky neighborhood of Plantation.
