MIAMI — The three-time Grand Slam champ and current number one-ranked tennis player Andy Murray just sold his Miami apartment for a healthy $2.38 million.
The tennis star netted a nice $795,000 profit on the property he bought back in 2008.
Located at Jade Residences unit 4501, the luxury Miami apartment features breathtaking ocean views, four deluxe bedrooms, three terraces and a game room with a pool table and sold Friday after two-and-a-half years on the market.
The 48-story building was designed by architect Bernard Zyscovich and finished in 2004. Tenants can enjoy a sky lounge, fitness center and spa, as well as a pool deck with two infinity-edged pools.
Latin singer Luis Miguel sold his unit in 2012 for $2.2 million.
Murray occupied the pad during the off season to beat the London winter blues and continue training without the threat of fog.
According to Jon Jacobs of City Realty Group International, Murray used the place to host players and friends “going in and out of tournaments in Miami.”
It’s not clear where Muzza will escape the cold for now but after being knocked out of this year’s Wimbledon in the quarter-final stage by Sam Querrey, he may want to check out other properties in the Sunshine State to get back in shape.
