MIAMI — It’s a big week for soccer in Miami and the big names have turned out some big crowds.
And some big shots with big hearts from top-flight European soccer teams Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain took some time for an exhibition game with some kids in Miami Beach.
Now that’s nice!
Players Kevin Trapp of Paris Saint-Germain and David Trezeguet of Juventus were joined by Edgar Davids of Ajax on the sands.
Pretty boy Trapp kicked up more than a little sand when he took off his shirt in the Miami Beach heat.
The boys worked the ball a little bit, and got a taste of what it’s like to play in the brutal Florida weather.
And, with good reason.
On Wednesday, Hard Rock Stadium hosted a match between Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus and more than 40,000 fans showed up.
Juventus managed to squeak out a 89th minute, penalty-kick win, but that was only a warm up to this weekend’s mega big action.
Sunday, Real Madrid and FC Barcelona will face each other in a El Clasico Miami grudge match.
All 65,000 seats have been sold out!
