MIAMI — Penelope Cruz shared a cheeky pic of Ricky Martin on Instagram Tuesday.
The two Latin sex symbols are currently filming the upcoming American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace, which is being shot in Los Angeles and Miami.
In the Instagram pic, Martin, 45, is leaning over a make-up counter with his trousers pulled down over his assets. The star was apparently having a tattoo covered up for an upcoming scene in which his attributes will be on display.
“The view from my chair @ricky_martin,” wrote Cruz, 43.
In the series, Martin plays Gianni Versace’s lover Antonio D’Amico. Cruz will play the designer’s sister, Donatella.
Cruz, who sought Versace’s approval before donning the blonde wig to play her, said “I truly love and respect her.”
The FX series will also feature Edgar Ramirez, as the slain Gianni Versace, and Glee veteran, Darren Criss, 30, will play serial killer Andrew Cunanan.
The 10-episode Ryan Murphy project follows the first critically acclaimed season of American Crime Story, which dealt with the murders of Nicole Brown and Ronald Goldman that were attributed to O.J. Simpson.
The series will be Martin’s first gay role, following his headline-grabbing coming out in 2010. Since then, the Puerto Rican singer/actor has fathered two twin boys, Matteo and Valentino, born to a surrogate mother in August of 2008.
Versace’s murder in July 1997 outside his Miami mansion shook the city. His funeral was famously attended by a devastated Elton John and Princess Diana, who died that same year in September.
Last year, Martin announced plans to marry Syrian-Swedish artist Jwan Yosef. The couple will wed in the star’s native Puerto Rico.
“It’s going to be a big event. I want something massive,” Martin told E! News. “I for sure want to get married in Puerto Rico. That is something that has to happen.”
