MIAMI — Seven months after she announced her split from her husband of barely four years, former Real Housewives of Miami star Joanna Krupa filed for divorce Monday in Miami.
In the paperwork now with a Miami-Dade County family court, the Polish supermodel claims her relationship with Miami Beach nightlife entrepreneur Romain Zago is “irretrievably broken.”
However broken their relationship, the two appear to remain fast friends.
For one thing, Zago and Krupa were spotted frolicking in the surf together in Miami Beach Tuesday.
And then Ray Rafool, Krupa’s Miami attorney, says the former lovebirds hammered out a divorce settlement way before she filed. The divorce proceedings are expected to be quick and easy.
“This might be the easiest divorce I’ve ever worked on,” Rafool said. “Everything has been worked out. There’s no alimony, just equitable distribution of their assets, and that was agreed to. The final hearing should be in mid-August.”
Rafool says Krupa and Zago “just grew apart.”
The 38-year-old former Playboy pinup Krupa and Zago, a part-owner of the Collins Avenue staple Mynt Lounge, were married in June 2013 in a Los Angeles ceremony filmed for Krupa’s rookie season on RHOM.
At the time, Krupa told a magazine she was conflicted about starting a family with Zago: “One second, I want to have a baby, and another second, I don’t feel I’m ready for it just yet.”
And she might have been conflicted about marrying Zago to start with: the wedding was postponed at least once.
Despite the cancellation of RHOM two years ago, Krupa is back on the tube this week in Thursday’s episode of ABC’s Battle of The Network Stars.
