MIAMI — Kevin Hart celebrated his birthday in Miami over the weekend.
The comedian, who turns 38 on July 6, arrived at the River Yacht Club in Miami aboard a VanDutch luxury yacht with 12 friends. The group settled into a cabana for brunch.
They kept the celebration going at the 13th annual IRIE Weekend bash, where T.I., Nelly, Jermaine Dupri and Scott Disick, among others, joined Hart. The entertainer took the stage to thank his guests and DJ Irie brought out a giant cake to commemorate Hart’s birthday, while DJ Eric D-Lux kept spinning music all afternoon. The event benefits The Irie Foundation, which works with at-risk youth in South Florida.
The celebrity crew then brought the party to the LIV nightclub at the Fontainebleau.
Hart introduced Nelly and T.I., who performed together on stage. The rappers were followed at 4 a.m. by Lil Wayne, who roared from the top of the DJ booth, “I love LIV so much and I’m sad it’s gonna be closed for 2 months. I’m gonna do a full free concert for y’all.” Wayne was joined on stage by Nelly and OT Genasis, who closed the club with their performance.
Hart has several projects in the works, including a Jumanji reboot and the publication of his memoir, I Can’t Make This Up: Life Lessons, which was released last month. He joked that he’s been working so hard that this felt like his 50th birthday.
The comedian’s wife, Eniko Parrish Hart, who is 21 weeks pregnant, couldn’t make the Sunday shindig. She is expecting their first child, a boy. The Get Hard star has two other children from a previous marriage, Hendrix, 9, and Heaven, 12. The couple told People Magazine in May, “We are overjoyed about our new addition to our family.”
The happy couple was seen vacationing in Palm Beach last week.
