MELBOURNE — A group of 60 Floridians staged a “Die In” outside U.S. Rep. Bill Posey‘s Melbourne office today to voice their displeasure, disgust, fear, concern and amazement at his vote to repeal the Affordable Care Act, which’ll strip millions of Americans of their health insurance.
Posey, along with every other Republican senator in the state, save Miami‘s Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, voted to get rid of Obamacare in a hastily created bill that has people terrified that they’re going to lose their healthcare coverage.
Protesters at today’s “Die In” held tombstones with health issues that will be considered pre-existing conditions under the new bill. They chanted “Shame on Posey” and “Hey, hey, ho, ho, Bill Posey’s got to go.”
The protest may seem a little macabre, but it’s nothing next to the Mail Me to the GOP website just launched to help people send their cremated remains a member of Congress as a protest against TrumpCare.
If people had only been this serious about healthcare 20 years ago! Check out videos from the event below.
