A veritable Who’s Who of South Florida tv personalities and big names turned out for the mentoring non-profit organization.
Former WTVJ-Channel 6 anchor Jennifer Valoppi and the station’s manager Don Browne launched the program 20 years ago to help at-risk girls in public high schools overcome obstacles.
Their program currently operates in over 180 public high schools and reaches about 4,000 girls.
Fellow South Florida newsies NBC6 anchor Trina Robinson, reporter Ari Ozder and WPLG-Channel 10 anchor Neki Mohan all came out for the good cause.
