PALM SPRINGS — A 26-year-old woman remains jailed this morning after allegedly driving her SUV into a T-Mobile store in suburban West Palm Beach during a dispute over her cellphone charges.
Shinobia Wright, a blogger who has no criminal record in the area, was charged with aggravated battery, battery that could cause bodily harm, burglary of an occupied structure, criminal mischief and reckless driving. She’s being held on $3,000-bond until a hearing later today.
According to police, the incident occurred yesterday afternoon at the T-Mobile store at 3321 S. Congress Ave. in Palm Springs.
Eduardo Calderon, the witness who filmed Wright crashing into the store, said Wright was arguing with a clerk over her phone bills being too high.
She allegedly left the store and got behind the wheel of her SUV before crashing into the glass store front at slow speed.
No one’s answering the phone at the story today, and Wright’s phone is turned off.
A T-Mobile spokesman would only admit that the company is working with authorities.
