PALM BEACH — Christmas has come early for President-elect Donald Trump who is holing up at his part-time home at his Mar-a-Lago estate.
Trump flew into town yesterday and will be at his Palm Beach club through the New Year.
Get ready for traffic headaches in Palm Beach County!
The president-elect has been traveling with a 19-car motorcade complete with two ambulances, a luxury bus and armed guards in blacked out SUVs.
How’s that for a man of the people?
Not to mention, that most people who are lucky to get any time off at the holidays certainly aren’t taking a luxurious two-weeks off!
Trump traditionally spends his holidays at Mara-Lago and was here for Thanksgiving.
Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, who had to cover most of his security during his five day visit said it cost $250,000.
That’s about $50,000 a day, and the bill is going to be much bigger this time because Trump’s going to be here so much longer.
PBSO is hoping to get reimbursed by the feds, but we’ll see.
Could be Palm Beach County taxpayers are left paying the bill for one of their richest citizens — one most of them didn’t vote for.
