MIAMI — Miami-based reality TV star Jonathan Cheban is known for being Kim Kardashian‘s BFF, but he’s about to add another moniker: Teacher to the rich.
Cheban recently announced he is starting a school program for the kids of folks who don’t pay enough taxes. The teachings as part of the International School of New York are set to include how to buy private jets with the right leather for the seats, how the gauge the value of a diamond and the flavor of caviar.
Think Emily Post meets Donald Trump!
“I am developing the entire pop culture program for this school here in the Trump Tower,” Cheban said. “Wealthy kids from all over the world will learn things about private aviation, social media, quality of diamonds, types of caviar, mixed with economics and other fundamental undergrad and grad classes.
“This is the social stuff you need to know to survive in a city like (New York) with a lot of money. If you are buying a diamond you need to know the clarity and if you are buying a private jet you need to know the different leathers and seats. I’ll basically be the Dean of Pop Culture at the school.”
The school, set to open in September of this year, is based in New York’s Trump Tower.
We’re tempted to say: Of course!
It’s offering bachelor’s and master’s programs along with certificate programs in wealth management, luxury goods management and fashion management.
The website states: “We offer an experience that is equally singular, engaging students with programs that are fulfilling on an educational and emotional level.”
However, the school doesn’t appear to be accredited by any U.S. institution and the ISNY website says: “Study in New York for a Business Program and receive a UK degree!”
