DAVIE — Fired Miami Dolphins Joe Philbin was never one of us.
Just three weeks after his firing, Philbin has already listed his Davie house for sale.
It’s yet another Gossip Extra exclusive. Be the first to know, click here to subscribe to our daily news alert!
Philbin wants $2.5 million from the sale of 2232 Phoenix Avenue, in the fancy Northstar Estates — and a local realtor tells us it won’t take long before someone bites.
Philbin bought the property, then brand new and with a style reminiscent of a Middle Ages nobleman’s fort, for $1.78 million in 2012.

Since then, however, Philbin’s teams lost four more games than they won and missed the playoffs every season.
Real estate websites aren’t featuring photos of the house, but here is the description:
IMPECCABLE CELEBRITY STYLE 6 BR/7 BATH MANSION in Exclusive GATED Community of NORTHSTAR ESTATES Boasts Wine Room, Media & Billiard/Game Rooms, Separate In-Law/Guest Suite w/Sitting Room, Kitchenette, Full Bath & Garage. Private Secondary Security Gate at Motorcourt/Courtyard. LUSH LANDSCAPE, RESORT STYLE POOL/SPA w/in pool seating. All 2nd Floor Bedrooms have private BALCONY & BATH, Custom Cabinetry & Granite throughout, High-end Appliances and Spectacular Outdoor Kitchen & Patio & MUCH MORE-MUST SEE
When he bought the place, Philbin, 54, was one of the stars of the HBO series Hard Knocks. Philbin and his wife Diane took out a $1 million-mortgage for the purchase, according to Broward County records.
It was probably about location, location, location for Philbin: The home is minutes from both the Dolphins training facility in Davie and Sun Life Stadium.
Despite the cool setup, however, Philbin never seemed to fit in South Florida. An educator by trade, Philbin grew up in the Northeast before he was hired as assistant coach by the Green Bay Packers.
Philbin was replaced at the helm of the Fins by former New York Giants star Dan Campbell, who has won two out of three games.
