DELRAY BEACH — The wife of Boca Raton rocker Scott Stapp has just called off their pending divorce, Gossip Extra has learned exclusively.
Former beauty queen Jaclyn Stapp, who’s raising their three children, filed papers at the Delray Beach courthouse showing she no longer wants to divorce the troubled Creed frontman.
The case is being dismissed six months after she filed.
Scott Stapp, 41, the singer of Arms Wide Open and My Sacrifice, has been silent since he posted several rambling video statements on YouTube in November where he claimed to be destitute and under “vicious attack” from his family.
Stapp also talked about his fear of a biological terror attack on Florida, and of ISIS activity within his entourage.
For some time, the family worried Stapp was on a mission to kill President Barack Obama although the singer has not been charged criminally with any wrongdoing.
A source close to the Stapps told Gossip Extra Jaclyn promised to take him back if he completed drug and alcohol rehab.
We’re told he spent three months in an in-patient program, and recently returned home clean and sober.
Jaclyn’s lawyer isn’t commenting.
We broke that story: Back in November, Jaclyn claimed in her divorce petition that Stapp walked out on his family and suffered his seventh drug relapse in the eight years they were married.
She claimed he was on amphetamines and steroids, and he was doctor-shopping for pain pills.
According to the divorce filing, he often flew into rages and even tried to kill himself.
Stapp appeared to be on a cross-country jaunt with drug friends in October, according to court papers.
He returned at Thanksgiving and started living in local hotels.
In one of his video rants, Stapp explained how he tried to withdraw money from banks and was turned back.
A judge gave Jaclyn the custody of the three children in December when court officials were not able to serve Stapp with divorce papers.
In 2007, she filed a request for a domestic violence injunction against the singer.
