MIAMI — High-profile plastic surgeon Dr. Leonard Hochstein, the husband of The Real Housewives of Miami star Lisa Hochstein, got slapped with a whistleblower lawsuit brought this week in a Miami court by two former staffers.
They claim he sells free samples of Botox to maximize his income!
Former physician’s assistant Graciela Chevez and office manager Francine Rodriguez claim they were fired after questioning Hochstein’s use of free sample of the anti-wrinkle injection on paying customers.
According to the lawsuit, doctors receive a lot of free samples from the muscle-paralyzing substance but are not supposed to sell them. Nationally, the average price of a Botox injection is $328.
Hochstein, who made frequent guest appearances in last RHOM season as he and his wife struggled with fertility issues, says they two were fired because they didn’t perform their duties well.
“They just concocted this cockamamie story to get me to settle,” the doc said. “Neither were good employees. They’re hoping to make some money off of me so they looked for something before they left.”
Said Hochstein: “I sell a lot of Botox, but I give out a lot of free samples.”
Chad Levy, the women’s attorney, responded to Hochstein’s allegations that his clients weren’t good employees by providing an email allegedly from Hochstein to Rodriguez:
I will check into everything. I want you to know that I think you have been a terrific employee and am happy to write you a great recommendation letter and if there is anything else I can do to help just let me know.
