MIAMI — Luol Deng, one of the incoming Miami Heat players supposed to make us forget about LeBron James, just spent $4.6 million on a historic waterfront house just north of downtown Miami, according to real estate sources.
Brit small forward Deng, 29, signed a two-year contract with the Heat estimated to be about $20 million earlier this summer.
Didn’t take him long after his arrival from the Cleveland Cavaliers to set his sights on the renovated 1928 crib in the Morningside neighborhood, at 5925 North Bayshore Drive.
In addition to a 107-foot dock with view on Miami Beach across Biscayne Bay, Deng is getting five bedrooms and four baths in the main house, a separate two-story guesthouse and a large covered patio facing the open water. It also has lush landscaping and spectacular, unobstructed views.
