The comely mom of three sons tells us she’s starting as anchorwoman and reporter at WSVN-Channel 7 on August 21.
“I’ve worked in Los Angeles and Atlanta and San Francisco, but there’s no place like Miami when it comes to news,” Knox tells us. “I’m very excited. There’s nothing more invigorating than live news.”
Knox made her mark at WTVJ-Channel 6 in the late 1990s before switching to WFOR-Channel 4. She left in 2007 and worked in a couple of local stations out-of-state before landing at the Lifetime network’s morning show The Balancing Act with Julie Moran and Olga Villaverdea.
Her stint ended last year, and Knox agreed to a gig with WSVN as Saturday anchor and, as she describes it, “utility player.”
Any misgiving about working for the Fox affiliate?
“People always told me they saw me on Channel 7 even though I never worked there in the past,” Knox said. “I thought: Might as well work for 7 for real. They have a great brand!”
