JUPITER ISLAND — Singer Celine Dion is offering her Jupiter Island property for sale — at a $10 MILLION DISCOUNT!
It’s yet another Gossip Extra exclusive: The singer of My Heart Will go On and her manager/husband Rene Angelil reportedly saw very little traffic from potential buyers since they listed the house for $72.5 million in September.
So, as the Canadian chanteuse’s second long-term Las Vegas stint extends to 2019, the couple is getting serious about unloading the South Beach Road crib and dropped the price to $62.5 million, according to the listing agent’s Canadian website.
The 10,000-square-foot house, at 215 S. Beach Rd., and its insane water park with a lazy river and slides were built on 5 1/2 acres of prime Martin County beachfront in 2010. For property tax purposes, it’s been assessed for $18 million.
Montreal Realtor Joseph Montanaro said when he first listed it that the house hasn’t been used as much as Dion hoped. He said the original $72.5 million-asking price was “just about” what it cost to buy the property and build it up.
Montanaro has yet to return calls about the $10 million-price drop.
Several realtors in the area say the hyper-luxury house market has softened up as of late.
The listing, meanwhile, describes the house as a “luxurious Bahamian-inspired estate” with 415 feet of oceanfront, one main house and five pavilions with a total 13 bedrooms.
There’s a tennis court and simulated golf range, a pool house with a full kitchen and a beach house with a massage room.
There are three separate pools, one at the rear by the ocean, and two connecting pools at the front with “a unique water park to be enjoyed by children and adults alike.”
The main residence includes a 7,000-square-foot basement, parking facilities as well as a children’s playroom and games’ room, an elevator, two generator, geothermal heating, and much more.
