SOUTHWEST RANCHES — Hollywood action hero Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson should be moving into this new mansion outside Fort Lauderdale by summer, sources say — and Gossip Extra‘s got the first photo of construction winding down.
The wrestler-turned-star of blockbusters such as Journey 2: The Mysterious Island and Fast & Furious 7 agreed at Christmas to pay $5.5 million for the 13,700-square-foot, five-bedroom, six-car garage crib in the fancy neighborhood of Landmark Ranch Estates in Southwest Ranches.
Dubbed Pietra D’Oro (golden stone in Italian), the house at 16715 Berkshire Court is on 2.5 acres of land and already boasts a $300,000-gym.
Johnson, 41, bought an older but equally large house on Berkshire Court last year for $3.45 million but sold it in April at a steep loss — just $3 million, according to county records.
Johnson’s neighbors now include Dany Garcia, his ex-wife, and NFL stars Brandon Marshall and Devin Hester, both Chicago Bears.
And he can afford the goody: He was named 2013’s top-grossing actor. His movies made a total $1.2 billion!
