MIAMI — Selena Gomez is next in the sights of the Aventura lawyer who’s been turning Justin Bieber‘s life upside down!
It’s yet another Gossip Extra exclusive: Pop star Gomez, Bieber’s longtime lady love, could soon be subpoenaed to be deposed as a witness in the lawsuit that a photographer filed against Bieber in a Miami-Dade County court.
The Miami Beach shutterbug claims he was assaulted by bodyguards on Bieber’s orders outside a North Miami recording studio in June, and now he wants millions in punitive damages.
A source close to Bieber tells me Gomez’s lawyers are dealing informally with Mark DiCowden, the photographer’s lawyer.
But if DiCowden doesn’t feel that he’ll be able to depose the former Disney actress without the help of a judge, he’ll go to court to subpoena the singer of Slow Down!
DiCowden isn’t commenting, but my source says Bieber’s people are scrambling to block any deposition by Gomez.
“They know Selena wants no part of this,” the source said. “She knows it could be a PR disaster to end up on video like Justin last week.”
What’s the sweetie got to do with this?
Gomez actually played peacekeeper in 2012 when Bieber went after a photographer in Los Angeles.
She’s a witness of the incident — yet Bieber refused to answer questions about it when he was deposed last week.
DiCowden went back to court today to attempt to depose Bieber again — but he’s also working on a sit down with Gomez.
Stay tuned . . .
