MIAMI — Troubled pop star Justin Bieber is due back in South Florida tonight, Gossip Extra has learned.
How do we know?
He is scheduled to be deposed in a civil lawsuit at 10 a.m. Thursday downtown Miami, according to court records.
Bieber, 20, will be grilled all day at the office of Universal Court Reporting, across the main Miami-Dade Courthouse on West Flagler, in connection with a suit filed against him by Miami Beach paparazzo Jeffery Binion.
Binion claims he was assaulted by Bieber’s security guards on the singer’s orders last June outside a North Miami recording studio — and now the shutterbug wants millions!
It’s Binion’s third attempt at deposing Bieber.
In January, the court proceedings were supposed to take place near the singer’s Los Angeles home. Bieber didn’t make it because he was in jail in Miami after his DUI and drag racing arrest.
By the way, the deposition will be videotaped.
It was scheduled to take place at the Aventura office of Binion’s lawyer, Mark DiCowden, but both sides decided that DiCowden’s conference room was too small and opted to change to a bigger office.
Meanwhile, I’m told by a source close to the singer of Baby and Boyfriend that his lawyers are working behind the scenes to change again the location of tomorrow’s deposition to the Biscayne Boulevard office of Roy Black, the high-profile criminal defense attorney whose firm reps Bieber in the DUI case.
Black’s people claim they could better guarantee Bieber’s safety in their office at 201 S. Biscayne Blvd.
Neither Black nor DiCowden are commenting, but stay tuned . . .
