New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez is seriously downsizing — but he remains committed to South Florida.
Rodriguez, 38, who’s appealing a 211-game suspension for his use of performance enhancing drugs, just bought a new Zen condo in Miami Beach.
Thing is: It’s “only” worth $2.1 million — this, after ARod unloaded his 21,700-square-foot home on North Bay Road for $30 million in May!
Records show Rodriguez opted for an 11th-floor, 1,725-square-foot crib with three bedrooms at 5875 Collins, aka Mei Condominiums.
Smallish by MLB standards!
Built in 2008, the beachfront Mei is designed to combine a modern look with an ancient Asian feel. It was built, according to the builder’s brochures, to allow residents to live in “harmony” and enjoy “mind relaxation.”
And that’s something ARod could use: He faces a career-ending ban from baseball for his connection with the Miami clinic Biogenesis.
