TV talker Rosie O’Donnell rescinded her contract to buy actress Olivia Newton-John‘s house just days after a contractor committed suicide on the Jupiter Inlet Colony property, Gossip Extra has learned exclusively.

And the decision came despite Newton-John and her entourage reportedly holding a spiritual cleansing akin to an exorcism to cast the suicide victim’s spirit from the house!

“Rosie has decided not to buy the house,” said Cindi Berger, the publicist for out-of-work personality O’Donnell. “It just didn’t feel right.”

Gossip Extra broke the original story: O’Donnell signed a contract to purchase the Key West-style crib in early August for about $5.5 million.

But as workers were getting the breathtaking property ready on Aug. 19, contractor Christopher Pariseleti committed suicide by shooting himself in the head inside the house — which his company renovated extensively in 2011.

Newton-John’s Realtor, Jo Ann Jacobson, pursued negotiations with O’Donnell’s people but O’Donnell announced her decision over the weekend — despite a last-ditch attempt to make O’Donnell feel more comfortable about the home.

An informant close to Newton-John tells me that the star of Grease flew in a Catholic priest last week to have him perform a spiritual cleansing of the house.

The source described the ritual as something close to an exorcism, including the spraying of holy water and “casting” prayers.

The ceremony was attended by Newton-John, her husband John Easterling, Jacobson and contractor Kevin Rose, who found the body.

One of O’Donnell’s staffers flew from NYC to attend. They even invited Pariseleti’s widow.

Publicist Berger said she didn’t know anything about a ceremony.

The house, at 104 Lighthouse Drive, is back on the market for $6.2 million.

Jacobson promised to issue a statement about the goings on on the property but ceased to communicate with Gossip Extra when asked about the cleansing.
