Kate Major, the tabloid character who traded her gig at Star magazine for a tumultuous relationship with Lindsay Lohan‘s dad, pleaded guilty to five charges stemming from an ugly fight with neighbors in Boca Raton.
It’s another Gossip Extra exclusive: Major, 31, who gave birth to a baby boy with Michael Lohan in January, avoided a jail sentence with a plea bargain agreement.
The judge withheld adjudication, which means that her criminal record will show no conviction.
Major, however, was sentenced to three years probation, 100 hours of community service, random drug testing, mental health and alcohol abuse treatment and anger management classes.
She was ordered last week of paying her neighbors $12,500 in restitution for the 2012 incident.
Major faced several months in prison on the five charges, including felony battery, battery on a police officer, resisting arrest and public intoxication.
Boca cops had to use special restraining belts to subdue Major during the Jan. 14, 2102 scuffle.
The allegations included that she lobbed racial slurs at the family, including “spics” and “Spanish whore.”
Major didn’t comment, but a source familiar with the case said the goal of her lawyers was to avoid jail.
“At least, she gets to stay home with her baby,” the source said.
Alleged victim Juan Jimenez and Rosario Mendoza are also suing in civil court, alleging that Major’s rant was a hate crime under Florida statutes.
And if Jimenez’ lawyer can prove that Major went after the family because they look Hispanic, they could be awarded higher damages if the civil case gets to a jury.
