Through a series of trusts, Jackson sold the exquisitely appointed 8,700-square-foot crib with one acre of dunes for $10.45 million, according to records.
The property stretches from the Atlantic to the Intracoastal, and includes docking for five boats.
The purchase price, however, was nearly $5 million less than what Jackson listed it for in January 2012.
It’s another Gossip Extra scoop: Martin County records show the house, at 617 South Beach Road, was bought by big-deal Philadelphia businessman Bill McDermott, a director at the sports apparel company Under Armour.
The transaction closed late last year but wasn’t reported in the media until today.
The 55-year-old singer of It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere originally bought the property in 2002 for $3.5 million.
Jackson leveled the original house, which was sold to him by West Virginia billionaire coalman Chris Cline, the boyfriend of golfer Tiger Woods‘ ex, Elin Nordegren.
Jackson spent another $4 million building a zen compound (see slide show above).
The singer spent most of his time here deep-sea fishing and having cold ones at The Square Grouper, a nearby tiki bar. With the latest sale, Jackson unloaded the two properties he owned here.
