Singer Celine Dion has listed her Jupiter Island property for sale.
Price: $72.5 million!
Montreal Realtor Joseph Montanaro, who has the listing, said the house hasn’t been used as much as Dion hoped. He said the asking price is “just about” what it cost to build up the property.
“She signed an extended contract to perform in Las Vegas until 2019, so it’s tough for her to spend quality time in the house,” Montanaro said. “The house was really built for her family before the twins came along, so it’s not working as well as planned.
“But Celine plans to have some presence in Florida. She loves it there.”
The listing describes the house as a “luxurious Bahamian-inspired estate” with 415 feet of oceanfront, one main house and five pavilions, including a four-bedroom guest house.
There’s a tennis court and simulated golf range, a pool house with a full kitchen and a beach house with a massage room.
There are three separate pools, one at the rear by the ocean, and two connecting pools at the front with “a unique water park to be enjoyed by children and adults alike.”
The interiors exude “an understated elegance sure to please the most discriminate buyer,” the listing reads.
The main residence includes a 7,000-square-foot basement, parking facilities as well as a children’s playroom and games’ room, an elevator, two generator, geothermal heating, and much more.
The main house comes with “almost all of its content,” the listing reads. Dion, however, gets to keep her clothes and mementos.
Also free of charge: Celebrity neighbors like Tiger Woods and Aussie golfer Greg Norman.
The property has been home to several controversies. In addition to having to fight a federal lawsuit accusing her of not paying her house staff overtime hours, Dion angered her neighbors when she had the water park, complete with slides jutting out of a tower above the tree line.
The Jupiter Island town official who approved the permit for the water park was eventually fired over the controversy.
