Tinseltown funnyman Kevin James‘ South Florida mansion was listed for sale by mistake!
A glitch on the homepage of a local Realtor sent the wrong information about several high-profile Palm Beach County properties being for sale to the giant real estate website Zillow — and on to dozens of news websites!
And among the houses listed by mistake was Grown Ups 2 and Zookeeper star James’ Delray Beach oceanfront mansion, Gossip Extra has learned! (Click for this morning’s story about the sale)
“They (James and his staff) have been calling all day and they’re not too happy with what’s going on,” said an employee at Premier Estate Properties, the Delray Beach firm where the error originated. “But we’re fixing it. We don’t know what happened.
“Kevin James’ house is not for sale. That, we know for sure!”
The mistake was discovered as reporters called the office to ask why James wanted out of Delray just months after he homesteaded the property, according to county records
Premier Estate was the listing agent on the 12-bedroom mansion a year ago, when James bought it for $18.5 million.
Zillow spokeswoman Katie Curnutte said the website’s techs are still trying to figure out why James’ place and seven other multi-million Delray properties sold over the past year ended up re-listed.
“We’re not entirely sure what happened,” she said. “We handled up to 4 million listings on any given day and we’re working hard to prevent mistakes from happening.”
James’ business manager didn’t return calls for comment.
