New York State Police arrested a Rihanna lookalike wanted for a string of jewelry thefts in the South Florida homes or hotel rooms of wealthy men, and it now turns out one of her victims was a New York Giants player.
Subhanna Beyah was arrested last night in Queens, N.Y., on a fugitive warrant from South Florida.
Miami Beach Police Department detectives asked authorities in New York state police to help locate Beyah after she was identified as one of four women working together to steal from men they met in fancy nightclubs in Fort Lauderdale, Miami Beach, Hollywood and Tampa.
Beyah, whose resemblance to Diamonds singer Rihanna grabbed the public’s attention, was just arraigned in Queens.
Police say the 25-year-old picked up men in bars like Blue Martini and YOLO in Lauderdale and at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach. She worked them until they brought her back to their homes or hotel rooms, then drugged them and robbed them while they were asleep for hours.
In March, Giants defensive tackle Shaun Rogers reported $430,000 worth of missing jewelry from his safe at the Fontainebleau — and Beyah’s now the suspect.
