One of South Florida’s hottest newscasters may be on her way off the air!
WFOR-Channel 4 star anchor Shannon Hori is rumored to be trying to negotiate a new contract before June, when her current deal runs out.
Thing is, it’s not going well!
Mom of two Hori has told co-workers she wants to leave while newsroom dwellers close to management say the CBS affiliate wants her out!
Japanese-American Hori, who’s been at the station since 2007, is not talking.
Said CBS 4 spokesman Lee Zimmerman: “I don’t know anything about it.”
Said one co-worker who asked that his name not be used: “Shannon is a hard worker and a great professional, but CBS is quietly holding a national search to replace her.”
Weekend anchorwoman Cynthia Demos has made it clear she wants Hori’s gig alongside Eliott Rodriguez during the high-audience slots at 5 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 11 p.m.
