flag-breaking-newsCinderella Florida Gulf Coast University earned its ticket for college basketball’s Sweet 16 tonight.

Florida Gulf What?

Gossip Extra investigated after FGCU dispatched San Diego State to basketball hell, and the most interesting about the Fort Myers school’s hoopsters are probably the gazillionaire coach and his supermodel wife!

Check this out: Eagles coach Andy Enfield, 43, was a great ball player himself. He played for Johns Hopkins University and still holds the NCAA record for best career free throw percentage.

Going somewhere? FGCU Coach Andy Enfield puts Fort Myers house up for sale!

But then the guy went into business instead of pursuing a basketball career and invested in a software company.

He’s obviously a millionaire several times over because by the time he left the company, it was worth $100 million!

Enfield took a giant a gamble by leaving a Wall Street  life for, eventually, a $157,000-a-year coaching gig in a college with fewer basketball fans than most high schools!

Amanda Marcum

The coach’s wife: Former Maxim girl Amanda Marcum (Special to Gossip Extra)

Wife Amanda Marcum? That’s another story, one that the television cameras are loving!

Have you noticed how many times she pops up on the screen during FGCU games — and she’s just in the stands!

In her modeling days, the Oklahoma hottie worked for Victoria’s Secret and ended up on the cover of Maxim.

Yep. Negligees, bras, panties, dominatrix outfits — the works!

Just that alone should have sports fans hope for a FGCU win against University of Florida at Cowboys Stadium Friday in Arlington, Texas!
