Jordan, 56, and his wife were married in Aspen, Colo. in 2000, according to Jordan’s filing.

It was Jordan’s third trip to the altar!

The Zimmermans, who live in Boca Raton, have two children, a 9-year-old boy and 7-year-old girl.

Jordan’s petition, which was filed Monday, indicates the divorce proceedings could be fairly straight-forward.

Jordan and Denise signed a pre-nuptial agreement that Jordan says he wants enforced.

Denise, who helps run the Denise & Jordan Zimmerman Foundation, has yet to respond to the filing.

Joel Weissman, Jordan’s West Palm Beach lawyer, didn’t return calls for comment.

Jordan is the founder of the Fort Lauderdale-based Zimmerman Advertising, the 14th largest advertising company in the country. The company has an annual billing of about $2 billion from clients like Nissan, Papa John’s and Club Med, according to Forbes.

Zimmerman bought the National Hockey League’s Panthers from business tycoon H. Wayne Huizenga in 2001. His partners include former Cleveland Browns quarterback Bernie Kosar and auto dealer Mike Maroone.

Last year, Zimmerman was rumored to be interested in buying a sizable share of the Miami Dolphins but no deal was announced.

The divorce filing makes no mention of Zimmerman’s interest in the Panthers, so it’s unclear whether the team he bought after his wedding will be considered a part of the marital assets.

A year ago, Panthers Managing Partner Cliff Viner quietly divorced his wife, and the split did not effect the team’s ownership structure.
