This time around, A-listers picked Las Vegas and Caribbean getaways like St. Barts as their venues to ring in the New Year.
But we still got Modern Family star Sofia Vergara and her short-tempered boyfriend — and they provided some of the entertainment.
The spicy Latina followed Nick Loeb to his Delray Beach home for the holidays. At first, it seems the duo took it easy, showing up in several Atlantic Avenue restaurants over the course of the week.
Then, all hell broke loose in Miami Beach early on New Year’s Day when Loeb reportedly picked a fight with a guest and bouncers at Story nightclub on Collins Avenue during one of the night’s hottest parties.
According to New York’s Daily News, a partygoer inadvertently spilled Vergara’s drink — then got an earful from Loeb.
Somehow, the incident degenerated into Loeb and Vergara lobbing four-letter bombs at one another after she agreed to have her picture taken with the dude who spilled her drink.
Beefy bodyguards reportedly escorted Vergara and Loeb back to the street after management decided to kick them out.
Meanwhile, new Palm Beach County resident Kid Rock took advantage of his passage here to check on his Jupiter Inlet Colony beachfronter to usher in the 2013 with a concert at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Holllywood.
In Miami Beach, a member of the Italian parliament grabbed a lot of attention. Her name: Nicole Minetti. She’s a former showgirl and girlfriend to controversial former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi. Minetti was elected to office at the ripe age of 26, and now has a thing for skinny bikini bottoms.
Some of The Real Housewives of Miami kept busy, especially model Joanna Krupa. She hosted the NYE bash at Mynt nightclub, which is owned by her Romain Zago, her boyfriend.
Then on New Year’s Day, it was some work and some play for Vero Beach country music star Jake Owen, who played the halftime show of the Orange Bowl. In case anyone cares, Florida State beat Northern Illinois (who let those guys into the stadium?) by the score of 31-10.
