Lawyer F. Lee Bailey: New O.J. Yarn The Silliest Yet!

The OJ Simpson verdict

The moment O.J. Simpson (middle) heard he was found not guilty in 1995 in Los Angeles as lawyers F. Lee Bailey (left) and Johnnie Cochran look on (Special to Gossip Extra)

“There have been silly stories when it comes to O.J. Simpson, but this one’s the silliest to date!”

That’s former Simpson defense attorney F. Lee Bailey‘s reaction to news that a documentary scheduled to come out this week pins the 1995 killings of Simpson’s ex-wife Nicole Brown and her friend Ron Goldman on a serial killer currently on Florida’s death row!

Glen Rogers, 50, who’s awaiting the syringe in Raiford’s Union Correctional Institution for the killing of a Tampa woman he met in a bar, is the suspect who likely stabbed Brown and Goldman.

NFL great Simpson supposedly knew what happened to his ex and Goldman, and knew Rogers. But he hid Rogers’ existence from Bailey and the rest of the defense team!

“We never heard of that guy Rogers,” said Bailey, a former longtime resident of Palm Beach County and a member of Simpson’s defense team when Simpson was found not guilty of the double homicide in 1996. Bailey spoke with Gossip Extra exclusively this afternoon.

“We didn’t investigate anyone by that name (Rogers). We would’ve known him. Every so often, new theories about the killings pop up. That’ll continue for years.”

The stunning new documentary (see trailer below), My Brother The Serial Killer, is scheduled to premiere at 9 p.m. Wednesday on Investigation Discovery.

Rogers is said to have confessed to killing Brown and Goldman along with at least 70 people coast-to-coast.

He was convicted to murdering two women, including Tampa resident Tina Cribbs in 1995.

Rogers’ M.O. that day: He stabbed Cribbs in the back and buttocks after sex, then took off with her jewelry!

Both Brown and Goldman were violently stabbed to death.

Another eerie point made in the documentary: Rogers actually knew Nicole Brown because he did odd jobs for her!

The filmmakers claim the former Buffalo Bills running back Simpson never talked to anyone about Rogers because Simpson asked Rogers to steal a $20,000-pair of earrings he bought Brown and return the baubles to him.

“Obviously the killings were drug killings,” Bailey said. “Nothing else! O.J.didn’t need to have somebody steal earrings. For what?

“And he had no motive to kill his wife, and certainly not Ron Goldman.”

The not guilty verdict split apart the nation between those who believed Simpson did it, and those who believed he got the shaft because he’s black.

Simpson lived in Kendall from 1997 until 2008, when he was sentenced to 33 years in prison for an unrelated robbery and kidnapping in Las Vegas.
