Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross and some of his Palm Beach neighbors are high on Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney in what’s shaping out to be a dogfight for the White House.
Ross, a developer who’s No. 114 on the Forbes 400 richest Americans with $2.1 billion to his name, and his hot wife Kara are set to host a fundraiser for Romney Jan. 12 at their palatial digs.
And former Massachusetts governor Romney could use the boost after a lukewarm first caucus in Iowa last night!
Guests will be asked to plunk down $2,500-per to attend the evening winding at Ross’ 30,000-square-foot, $31 million-mansion on North County Road.
Chances are the Ross’ll raise some serious dough since the event co-chairs include fellow billionaire Bill Koch, a mining and energy magnate, and sugar baron Pepe Fanjul.
Romney narrowly escaped embarrassment in Iowa, where he won by a razor-thin eight votes over former U.S. Senator Rick Santorum.
