Martinez was the guest of honor at the LIFE fundraising gala at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach and offered to auction one dance with him.
Leaders in Furthering Education board members Walter Schwenck won after a dog-fight of an auction! He then offered the dance to Lois Pope, the LIFE founder and widow of National Enquirer founder Generoso Pope. Long ago Broadway star Pope picked a foxtrot.
